Code of Conduct

At the Brampton Sports Leagues, we are committed to providing a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment for all participants, staff, and spectators. Whether you’re here to compete, stay active, or simply enjoy the game, we ask everyone involved to uphold the values of respect, sportsmanship, and fair play.

Our Commitment to a Safe Space

Participation in our leagues should be a positive experience for everyone, regardless of age, gender, background, or skill level. We strictly prohibit any behaviour that may compromise the safety or enjoyment of others, including but not limited to:

  • Bullying, intimidation, or harassment of any kind

  • Aggressive or violent conduct, including threats or physical altercations

  • Negative taunting or trash talk that targets individuals or teams

  • Discrimination based on race, gender, ability, or any personal characteristic

  • Unsportsmanlike behavior toward referees, staff, or other players

Expectations for All Participants
  • Treat all staff, players, referees, and staff with respect—on and off the field

  • Compete with integrity and within the rules of the game

  • Be a positive teammate and contribute to a respectful team culture

  • Accept officials' decisions and avoid confrontational or argumentative behavior - please feel free to contact league programmer directly via email to report incidents: arvinder.sohi@brampton.ca

  • Refrain from using foul or abusive language

Consequences for Violations

We take violations of our Code of Conduct seriously. Consequences for inappropriate behaviour may include:

  • Verbal warning

  • 1-game suspension for first offence

  • Review and potential permanent suspension for repeated offenders

  • Immediate removal from the game or facility for egregious behaviour 

The City of Brampton and its league administrators reserve the right to take appropriate disciplinary action in response to any incident, including permanent removal from all brampton sports leagues.
